"Casey Ek Photography" Advertisment

“Casey Ek Photography” is a local Mankato photo-documentation business, ran by Casey Ek. Casey’s work revolves around recording clients’ life events; specializing in photographing personal, and sometimes difficult situations (think the birth of a child, or even a terminal diagnosis.) He works with clients that see the value in long-term candid and honest work. Casey commissioned me to create mixed media marketing materials for his business. While designing, I wanted to showcase the intimate nature of Casey’s photojournalism, by creating layouts in a scrapbook fashion. This was to emphasize how unique each story and picture are. I wanted viewers to feel a closeness with the subjects of the pictures, identifying themselves in others through the humble and humanistic nature of the design. All scrapbook collages for the marketing campaign were crafted in Photoshop.
